It is the finest ingredients that make Irish food special, fish and shellfish straight from our wild Atlantic shores, mountain lamb from our rolling hillsides, whiskey from the Dingle distillery, free range eggs and local artisan cheeses.
Our food feels close to where it comes from and offers magical tastes from generations of culinary traditions.
In this half-day hands-on class we will provide you with a deeper understanding of how our rich culture and wild landscape have shaped our food and ingredients for hundreds of years. Our passionate teachers will take you on a journey, allowing you to awaken your senses and explore the honesty and integrity that our flavoursome food has to offer.
On arrival we treat you to fresh scones and tea, while we describe to you how our food has been influenced since the earliest settlers arrived here. Experience the wonderful aromas of traditional brown soda bread straight from the oven and learn how to handle and prepare our local fish, meat and vegetables.
At the end of this authentic fun experience you will get to sit down and eat the food, which you have prepared. and with each bite you will feel a true sense of both the sea and land.
You will leave with a first hand knowledge of the foods that were created and shaped by our ancestors. We guarantee you will understand why we at Dingle Cookery School are so excited and passionate to share with you the magnificent world of Irish food.
